Glaucoma Treatment: Glaucoma is a kind of eye disease in which the optic nerves of your eye get damaged due to high pressure in your eye which results in vision loss or blindness. The optic nerve transmits visual information from your eye to the brain. Your brain depends on these signals for forming the image. In glaucoma, fluid builds up in the front part of your eye. This extra fluid creates pressure in your eye and gradually damages the optic nerves. This pressure is known as intraocular pressure. But some people have low pressure in their eyes also caught by glaucoma. If glaucoma is untreated for a long time, there can be a possibility of losing vision and getting blind permanently. Glaucoma is the second most reason that leads to blindness after cataracts. Glaucoma can be treated with medication, eye drops, laser surgery, surgery, etc.
