Method 1: Testing network connectivity



  • First of all, the user needs to open Run window and then press in the system.

  • And then, the user needs to type CMD in the box and hit OK button.

  • The next step in the process is to ping the server from the system

  • Followed by typing in ping server name and then hit the Enter key




  • Once done with that, the user needs to perform the steps mentioned above

  • And then in case the response received is slow, then in that case, there might be some issues with the network and a repair is needed.


Method 2: Make a new folder for a QuickBooks company file



  • The user is supposed to make a new folder on the server

  • And then make changes in the permissions for this new folder and then QuickBooks company files to be shared
