That company then sold Drum to Imperial Tobacco, the current British producer. Douwe Egberts discontinued Drum in the USA & Republic Tobacco of Glenview, Illinois, (manufacturer of Top Cigarette Tobacco) began making its own version of Drum for distribution in the United States.
